With the very fast flow of the upcoming events in the tech world, parents get confused about how to help their kids with the best services from their devices. That should not make you worried anymore! In this article, I am going to give you detailed clues on how the tablet can help your child improve in the reading field. Technological gadgets used for early childhood developments come with a variety of age-appropriate and kid-friendly apps as well as websites. Therefore, you can be sure that both your preschooler and higher grader will learn the top-notch reading skill from the devices. But how will that even be possible?

Also, The Presentation of a Majority of The Apps Found In The Screens Alone Can Make Your Child Achieve a Lot!!

The presence of audiobook application in the majority of tablets makes reading easier and entertaining. From the app, kids will have fluency in their reading.

This is achieved where the applications give the right sounds for certain vocabulary. Reading is more of an intonation. The low tone might become a challenge to the whole passage. Is your child having difficulties with reading fluency even at elementary school?

Are you wondering how you will introduce better solutions that shall eliminate their learning curves?

In fact, some games have soundtracks with words already outlined on the screen of your child’s tools. From the curious and imitative nature of your child, you will get them cramming whatever that is said in order to speak just the same way it is said in the presentation — are your kids comfortable with tech?

Introduce them to simulative avenues that will inspire them through educative means. While they figure out why the words cross around the screen during the presentations, kids are clever! They will soon associate the wording with the sounds. And there they go! They have already learned to read one, then two then three….words.

Furthermore, some apps were created to look like a class. Where there are actors representing teachers and students plus boards where reading and writing are done. The teacher dictates to the students some age-appropriate content and gives the spelling after the presentation of the children’s answers. When these applications are keenly used and followed up, your kid can learn a lot.

So, with the help of a guardian or parent, the young ones can learn to read. This is possible when both the child and the parent read together a particular passage on the device. And what are the best tablets’ for kids’? Build the educator selected, safe, and socially engaging experience!!

By reading together, the kids will get confidence in themselves and soon they can be able to read through the writing with no help. Read with your child and inspire them to excel. Motivate your child’s experience with stellar platforms that will guarantee them success.

Guide your Child to Read with a Tablet. The Best Guide!

Kids may not understand how to go about the tablets the first time you give them one. Of course, they are inexperienced at that as everything is new to them. So, for a better understanding of the tablet, your closer supervision is an essential aspect.

Carol Lass confirmed that with supervision, kids give their best in whatever they are doing. Just be there for them, it will trigger your kids to work hard and improve their reading skills. But, what is the role of the guardians or parents in improving the reading skills apart from supervising them? Follow the steps below, you will make them reading geniuses.

– Minimize all forms of distractions. Anything can easily sway the attention of a child. Therefore, make sure that there are no distractions that will keep their attention on the reading disturbed — help them to see their conversation on reading last longer as compared to situations where they are easily distracted.

Things like televisions, loud music, or even phone calls act as common obstacles while kids are studying. So, switch them off or put them at a very low volume, that can favor them.

– Create a specific area and time for reading. The reason as to why the school setting is serene for learning is because of the timetables and specific places where learning activity shall be taking place. Therefore, apply the same at home it will make kids fit into the system.

Also, make sure that the region they shall be reading from is well-lit plus comfortably furnished. So that they do not strain while reading.

Read with your kids, they shall work out better. At times, your presence alone can make them go to the fullest just to impress you. You know their character!

But, Limit Kid’s Time with Tablet Interaction

The tablets come with a lot of fun. There are the games, the movie series, music and much more that is not only pleasing to our children but also to us adults. With all the fun packaged in one device, the truth be told, that it is hard to let the best kid’s tablet go, especially for the young ones.

With this, you will always have tantrums when that time comes to take the tablet back. And how can a parent go about it without causing emotions in the house? Are you wondering how you will enhance your kid’s fun learning experience without hurting them?

* Also, build their creativity by having another enticing activity lined up on their daily program. By being innovative or creative, I mean having a fun session next to the tablet time.

While they will hand it back in the spirit of competing you can take them to the next room or place for drawing the pictures of either place they like, people, friends and much more.

– Keep track of their time limits by use of sound and visual cues. This is applicable to the kids that are not familiar with telling time. The timers will help them take power over their time. You can tell them about how the timer will look when the time is up.

Talk with them about the repercussions of not following the rule pertaining time limit. Only God knows why children will in many incidences try to go beyond the time limits. But that you should not let it worry you, a lot can be corrected when there is a good talk between you and your child. Therefore, get some time and create the policies that should be applied in case there is misconduct.

Make the Internet a Safe Place For Your Kid

– Check out what they do. Have you ever asked yourself what they are doing at that moment they are silent and busy on their tablet? Kids are sly. Therefore as a parent tries to find out what is on their screen that is making them opt to skip a meal. By doing so, you can easily identify the apps and find out if they are the right content for them.

– Download kid-friendly apps. Many times we have purchased an item just because it has a particular brand name, it is cheap, or every child in the neighborhood is using it. And in the end, you realized you made a mistake. Therefore, it is up to you as a parent to make sure your child gets what is best. Also, Install the apps that are age-appropriate.

Thanks so much for this article as my partner has been nagging me to get our five-year-old his own tablet (he’s been using hers!) for quite some time now, but I was unsure about how educational the thing would be in the long run.

Do you feel that there should be some sort of time limit on how long children use these tablets over a 24 hour period?

If I  were a parent I’d be big on moderation for any kid. I like what you said regarding having something lined up after using the tablet, but make sure it’s either creative or innovative. For instance, if we had them give up the tablet for a round of boring homework, it’s going to be tough to do. But to have them give it up for something competitive, say, with learning involved as always, it’ll instead let them look forward to the next lesson and it won’t make giving up a tablet so hard on them. Just one of many ideas we can do with following up on the tablets.

I am not a parent… yet but I intend to be one, and watching my little nieces and nephews grow with technology around made me able to connect, especially with timing, as most kids would not love to give up a tablet once they are used to it or having fun. but talking and letting them know that breaks are required is the best solution as you have outlined. keep up the good work.

Hi, points well made! I used to manage a kids center and the babies to teens loved their games and apps online and the educational ones really taught well. Leapfrog a big friend of mine, especially they’re automated books with the lights and the voices!! The little spelling games were also great.

But my biggest problem as you mention was a type of screening for the game platforms…many of which had both education and pure fun games. I found the screening quality of platforms wasn’t always the best. There needs to be more structure in vetting games…kind of like a film rating for the kid’s games online. One of my own children had an obsession with gaming and it was very hard to get him away… I wished there were automatic time limits then!

Us parents need to vote with their money and buy programs with limits and ratings!!
