Computers really do play a large role in our children’s education as computers make things a lot easier for students.
With the aid of computers and gadgets, kids no longer have to spend a lot of time doing their research and homework at the library. All they need is a computer with a stable internet connection and they can do all these in the comfort of their homes.
Although I agree that computers aid in our kids’ education, my concern is that kids often get addicted to computer games to the point that they neglect their studies and are not able to graduate and earn a degree.
What advice can you give to parents to guide their kids on the proper use of computers?
Jack
Thank you Alice for your comments and concern’s, as always feedback is taken very seriously on this website, as most of us know at this point in time in this generation of technology, and what is approaching us it is imperative to help keep our kids up to date with there computers analytic skills, or they may certainly be left behind. With the first early levels of computers, they have parental controls on them, as they mature into the more sophisticated levels, we must monitor them, as we give them there goals and proper motivation. I truly believe the more we engage with our kids on a one on one level continuously, with fun subjects that they like, this will help keep them interested with the present time society that they are around, Talk to them know what interests them and find other fun things to do with them, at the end of the day do not let them disappear with there technology, in other words, let our children know we are there and concerned for there well being. Thank you for the time and I very much appreciate all of the input from everyone. Jack

Amazing kids Tech write up, I also think the world technology is growing at a very exponential rate, thus the danger of it growing beyond our kids is not a good idea and as such it will be nice if parents give their kids the perfect head start to gaining this fast growing technology, at least in a bid to harness the technology. The part of this whole article that thrills me beyond words is the Kano computer kit that would teach coding, it is just brilliant. And I wondered what age bracket was free to use the kano kit. Cheers.
Jack
Thank you, Oneal22, for your great comments within our children’s early Blog, as they mean so much for everyone’s growth as well as the growth of our site. I would say the right age to introduce our kid’s to coding would be between 4 to 7, of course depending on the child. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely, Jack
Hi Tony
Thanks for sharing this wonderful article on how computers can be effectively used to enhance our children education. It’s a great thing technology is doing to our kid’s educational system. I totally agree with everything here in this article but I have a question. Children often get addicted to computer video games? Children, especially between the ages of 11-17, can use those computers for non-educational purposes. What measures are being put in place to curb that? Anyways thanks for taking the time to put all these together. Cheer’s
Jack
Thank you, Tony, for your very in-depth and heartfelt comments within our children’s early learning Blog, I am sure you understand just how vital they are for my growth as well as the ongoing growth of this website. It seems there is always something our children are getting addicted too if it was not TV, then it may have been drugs and or alcohol, my Father was the source of some of my childhood additions, anyway if we are not personally spending quality time with our kid’s doing what they like to do they could be in trouble with technology or whatever else comes their way, it is in our hands. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely, Jack

Hi Jack, let me start by firstly saying I must agree with you on this post that technology has important roles to play in the educational lives of kids, nowadays. Of course computers aids and makes learning easier for them because they see it as fun, but rather they are learning. Even those learning with tablets are doing very fine with it, but I will just say all, parents should keep watching them always to make sure they are not getting addicted to it and they are doing the right thing with either computer learning tools or tablet
Jack
Thank you, Yormith96, as it is always wonderful and welcoming to hear from you, your comments within this Kid’s learning Computer’s Post is knowledge, and appreciated. Hi Jack, when I see all the tech support available to support learning, I see how lucky these kids are. At first, I used to feel that it would impair their ability to think and reason because everything seemed so ready-made, but when I saw my granddaughter `using her tablet and learning step by step I saw how technology really works well for learning. My only concern is that family interaction might suffer when everyone is on their gadget so often. Do you have any suggestions as to how to create a balance? Thanks for the information.
Jack
Thank you, JJ, for your vital and engaging comments within our children’s early learning Blog, as they are one of the mainstream necessities for the growth of our site in almost all elements. We as parents and the guardians of our children’s best interests must set goal’s and balances right out of the gate, and we must always be in control, we also must have other interesting things for them, such as our heartfelt quality time that they enjoy. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely Jack

Impressive article! It certainly is a different world than how I was raised where kids learning computers are part of everyday life now. Although I agree with computers or tablets in the school are required to keep up with the fast pace of change it is still important to keep a balance with real-life experience. I think the most important lessons kids can learn in school is that a computer is merely a tool and not to make it part of them. How many hours per day do you feel children should be allowed to be on a computer? Keep up the great work.
Jack
Thank you, Paul, for your ever so important and knowledge bearing comments within our children’s fun learning Blog, on the Kid’s learning Computers post, as they are an intricate part of the growth of our website. It would have to be evaluated on their age and how much time we are actually engaging with them, depending on the day and what is going on within the actual learning realm, as I am suggestive fun learning tablet’s, 1 to 4 hours per day max. I hope to hear from you son, sincerely, Jack
Henry
Hi Jack! Thank you very much for this post. We’ re in this transition period where textbooks are still used, but tablets are used every day more. And even now we have started to see kids learning to talk faster due to more exposure. But as more technology is used, it will directly impact education. Sadly, not all is positive. Technology could cause and has already begun to cause issues in our kids, that 30 years ago would be unthinkable.
I have even noted that kids adopt the accent of the programs they listen on their tablets and not the accent of their parents. Does this phenomenon have a name?
Jack
Thank you, Henry, for your vital and extremely knowledge bearing comments within our Kid’s learning Computer’s post, as they are the key to the ongoing growth of our site, in more ways than most people understand. I would think the name of this phenomenon is we are not spending enough time with our kid’s when they are on their devices syndrome, as it is our responsibility to engage with them and monitor them. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely, Jack P.S. I know many families including my own, that have seen very valuable growth from their fun learning tablet’s, however, there was more engagment from their parent’s so you do not see these issues.

Hey Jack,
Thanks for writing this post, in my opinion, this is a sensitive topic depending on which side of the fence you fall on (For/Against). There are definitely good points to argue about both sides, my biggest pro is that technology is the way of the future and many people get left behind and don’t keep up with it. It is a benefit for kids to get introduced early in order to be familiar with the benefits and opportunities computers and technology offers.
My biggest cons are how early is too early to introduce kids to technology and although they have features to provide restrictions, there still may be a human element missing. Sometimes, certain learning experiences are better handled by teaching by other humans. Thanks again for this article, what do you think about my opinion?
Jack
Thank you, Jefreym85, for your very enlightening and honest comments within our Kid’s Learning Computer’s post, as they are very enlightening for me, and so important for the growth of our Blog, in every way. I will say if we start our kid’s out at 2 or 3 we need to be with them always to better engage them and give ensure they are at ease with what is going on, and they understand they always have us at there back, without us at this early age it is more of a toy, to kill time with. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely, Jack
