After a long, tedious day of professional studies at school, all your child needs is something that can make his brain fresh again. While gaming, there is a sense of brain activation, which is, of course, triggered by the need to win.
Also, while your kids grow keen and attentive to the games, much happens to their entire body. They can, therefore, be ready to face anything their schedule will bring about as they will be up for the game again.

* Tablet games improve your child’s critical thinking skills.

You all know how much is needed to win in a game or be promoted to the higher ranks. Remember, the directors of the game make it as complicated as possible to make it hard for your kids.

Though the urge for success in gaming only comes for everyone involved in a game, coming out victorious is all about your kid’s decision to think critically.

While gaming, your kids are involved in different tasks that may require their attention and the ability to create more pieces than what is provided in the game.
For instance, a game that demands your kid to identify different words or shapes. For the sake of success, your child will use his creativity to innovate new forms of words.
When your children possess these skills, it becomes easier for them to beat all odds regarding the challenges that come in their academics. Do you want your kids to be the future inventors or saviors of the universe?

* While participating in games, kids learn to be patient and perseverant.

Gaming is always a survival for the fittest platform. Therefore, no giving up irrespective of the results. While gaming, your kids will prepare their minds to win. They make it no choice to surrender without satisfying results.

The move your kids make to persevere every time the game seems hard on them and to wait patiently for their turn to play, teach them much. Having virtues like persistence and patience is your child’s necessary ticket to succeed.

Depending on which type of game your child is involved in, some games act as a mode of revision. For instance math games. Is your child having difficulties in her mathematics performance? Maybe it is time you introduce another approach to her studies!
Identify games that have relevant content relating to different concepts of the subject and make the apps accessible for your child. Subject-oriented games can do magic to your kids’ learning curves.

Do you want your loving children to be resourceful? Make gaming a part of your child’s learning experience.

Hello Jack, I could not resist returning to your site to check out your new posts. The world has truly evolved and learning has not remained stagnant either, many schools agave brought in the tablet system already and are even creating apps for their students, this means that they also see that it is essential in child learning. Invariably, the kids learn a lot like you have pointed out… Great post, I’ll be back again for more. Best regards!

Thank you, Jack, for explaining the positive side of games for the kids. In my place, it’s still a bit hard to educate the parents that games can be used for education purpose. My nephew (who was given learning tablets and also played many Edu games) has learned about math and language faster compared to his peers. I hope more people can see the good side of games for kids

I think that gaming is good for mental development. Games utilize memory and different forms of thinking as you mentioned. Also even Beyond just using it for utilitarian reasons, it’s good to have fun. There are probably games that could help learn history better or English or math or science. For me history was one of the trickiest one to learn, do you have any devices that help you learn history? History involves a lot of memorizing dates and names on one level but also kind of understanding what happened on another level. Science games would be really helpful because a lot of scientific concepts are visual and the pictures in the textbook Arent Interactive so a game could be an interactive way of learning science such as molecules and Earth Science and all that stuff.

Jack, my opinion about the topic is from my own experience as I do not approve of screens for such a young generation as a technique to learning. Kids should be hands-on and active both in the mind and body, not just the mind. I feel they need to move with activity when playing badminton and learning from flashcards with human interaction, not a screen. So my opinion about technology advancing is that it will but I will always be old school and do some things old fashion as that is how I grew up. Kids just sitting on a screen and not interacting, in my opinion, is not healthy as I know it works for some and some games may help but they are only feeling it in the mind not body.

Thank you,Trevor, for your thoughts and perspectives within our fun learning devices blog, as they are truly the mainstay for the development of our site, I am going to leave my take for the engagment of your education, decades ago when it was only the Analog system, only a handful of students excelled academically, because, like myself, I was totally board, now today, with the educator endorsed fun learning tablets every child has the opportunity to excel, because it has been proven we retain far better when we have a fun experience, the rest is all too often a cope out or failure at the ranks of the parents doing the right thing and properly monitoring our children, with the technology, I truly agree with the hands-on experience, and being outdoors, however if our children are not equipped with the knowledge of the hyper-tech culture they are entering they will truly be left behind. I hope to hear from you soon, sincerely, Jack

My granddaughter is going to be three in November.  She plays on my phone, and I do have a few preschool games that she plays, but I would love to get her a tablet.  My grandson has an Ipad that my daughter puts different games on, but it was rather expensive.  I want to get her something that will benefit her but not break the bank.    Your article talks about apps, so can she use this going forward with varying apps for her age as she progresses, or would she need a different tablet?  Do the varying apps cost extra?

    1. Jack
