Well these days, children from a very young age get introduced to technology, in this case, phone or tablets. But most start out with a tablet because of its a much bigger screen for them to understand whats going on in the screen.

My son is almost a year now, and the only way he will be quiet when crying is when I play a game or show a video for him on my smartphone. He got so used to seeing my husband and I use a smartphone, that he cries to have one in his hands.

Once he comes of age, or shall I say a few years of age, I will buy him a tablet that only has games installed on it. But what you recommend in this post to children is really great. Some parents will be against this, but it can be a great learning tool for your child. So it has its benefits.

Thank you for this post and all the best to you.

    Hi,

great and detailed article. I am always afraid that children don’t use tablet’s, PC’s, phones, etc too much. If they do, I think it’s not so good for educational purposes. I  think that sometimes it’s better for them to play outside with other kids. However, this LeapPad 3 really looks great and maybe really good to educate children. I’ll consider buying it.

    Thanks,

    Petar

Hi Jack! What you have addressed here in this post are two important points concerning tablets for kids under 3 years old. The first is storage. Nowadays that files are heavy and frequently needed to be downloaded, it’s a big relief to count with sufficient memory storage. And second, but even more important is parental control. At such a young age we want to be as careful as we can with our children’s mental health. Exposing them to content that they can’t digest can have terrible impacts even many years after.

You’ve nailed it all. The tablet for 3 years kid should be the one with one of its kind processor that can stimulate the kid’s interest in whatever they are learning in  the tablet. An adult easily gets bored when moving around with a gadget that has a weak battery. So, how do we want our kid to like a tablet with a weak battery? It will deprive them of so many important educating and fun research. A weak battery can pose a risk to the kids. It is not good for us to operate gadget at its very low battery because of possible radiation emission. Storage is also a top priority. Thanks for this collection.

With proper parental guidance, I would trust my kid with technological toys. It’s one of the best ways the kids can easily adapt to the adversities of technology. But as a parent, I can only trust devices and apps which are well researched for child use.

What I like about Leap Pad 3 is the feature about parental control. It’s true that we can’t always stay and watch out for our kids because of multitasking and other things we need to take care of. Parents at least have the assistance of Leap Pad 3 to help them learn on their own safely.  Thanks for letting us know the features of this device. It’s a big help for parents out there who are looking for a trustworthy product.
