  1. Autism seems to be so misunderstood even to this day.  I am blessed to have the opportunity to coach a young man with autism on a 10-year old football team.   While there are definitely some challenges as you point out, he is one of our best players talent-wise and respect wise.  I have spoken with his mom and your points regarding social activity are very accurate.  The boys on the team don’t really see that side of him because she had him in youth sports and school activities at a very young age.  Thank you for bringing Autism to the forefront.

  5. Hello Jack,

It is a good thing to know that there are programs designed especially for children with special needs.&nbsp.The idea of slowly exposing  them to social platforms might be a good thing if it’s done under our watchful eye. As  you have mentioned I think one of the common tasks with special needs children is to keep their attention focus on one thing. And I think it might be a good thing to practice them keep focus by approaching with something they love to do. So specially designed tablets could be the way to go. Social keyboards, Alexa and suitable gaming apps would really bring a positive impact on their day to day lives.
